Etsuro Ito
One of the inventors of improved enzymatic cycling, a key technology. After graduating from Waseda University (Department of Physics and Applied Physics, Doctor of Science), Visiting Fellow of NIH (National Institutes of Health), Assistant Professor at Hokkaido University, Professor at Tokushima Bunri University, Waseda University Faculty of Education and Integrated Arts and Sciences Professor ( incumbent). Appointed as CSO of BioPhenoMA Inc. Received the Zoological Society of Japan Award (2017) and the Japan Society for Comparative Physiology and Biochemistry Award (2022).

Daisuke Niwa
He has experience in R&D and business development in the fields of in-vitro diagnostics, medical devices, pharmaceuticals and healthcare. After received his Ph.D. at WASEDA University, he worked as an research associate/assistant professor at Institute for Biomedical Engineering, WASEDA University, ROHM Co., Ltd., and Teijin Pharma Limited, before becoming a partner of WASEDA University Ventures Inc. in 2022. Currently he is also appointed a board member of several startup companies.

Makoto Mitamura
He is an expert in life science business with experience in implementing new technologies. After working in business development and marketing of medical devices, he engaged in clinical development, licensing, and corporate planning at a drug discovery startup. Also engaged in business development and commercial director of imaging diagnostics and IVD. He has also contributed to the establishment and internationalization of Japan Marrow Donor Program. (Former Board Member)
Awarded “Outstanding Leadership Award” by Health2.0 (2023) and selected as one of the TOP 100 world leaders of healthcare.

Chief Scientist
Hatsuki Shiga
Scientist with experience in national projects etc, and knowledgeable in enzyme cycling improvement methods.
After completing her PhD in Biological Sciences at Hokkaido University, she worked as a special researcher at JBIC (The Japan Biological Informatics Consortium),
After working as an assistant professor at Fukushima Medical University etc, she became BioPhenoMA Chief Scientist.

Device Engineer
Tatsuya Shima
Mechanical engineer with a bright background in data analysis and programming.
Graduated from Keio University,
he worked for G.C. Corporation and Honda R&D Co. before joining BioPhenoMA.

Technical Adviser
Teruyuki Yoshimura
After graduating from Hokkaido University (Doctor of Pharmacy), he worked at Higashi Nihon Gakuen University and New York University Medical Center as a visiting researcher.
After working as a visiting researcher at Higashi Nihon Gakuen University and New York University Medical Center, he became an associate professor at Hokkaido University of Medical Science,
After working as an Associate Professor at Hokkaido Medical University, he is currently a Professor at Hokkaido Medical University.

Technical Advisor
Hisayuki Masui
As a medical device specialist, He gained rich experiences in analytical instrument development and sales, laboratory, and entrepreneurship.Pharmacist and Medical technologist.
After graduating from Tokyo University of Science, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, he joined Bristol-Myers Squibb.
Olympus Co.,Ltd. (later Beckman Coulter,Inc.),
Fujirebio Inc., ROHM Semiconductor. and YHLO Japan Co., Ltd. before assuming his current position.
He became a technical advisor for BioPhenoMA.
